Does Miaowa GEO monitor Doubao, DeepSeek, Kimi and other Chinese AI platforms?

No. Miaowa GEO monitors only the six overseas platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Claude) because its users are exporters selling to overseas buyers. Domestic Chinese platforms need a tool built for them.

Version 1.1 · Last updated

No. Miaowa GEO monitors only ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot and Claude. It does not monitor Doubao, DeepSeek, Kimi, Qwen (Tongyi), Tencent Yuanbao or any other Chinese domestic AI platform. This is a boundary set by what the product is for, not a feature that is still on its way.

Why the scope is overseas only

  • The service is built for Chinese exporters (B2B trade, cross-border e-commerce, brands going abroad) and answers one question: when an overseas buyer asks, is the brand mentioned? Overseas buyers use these six platforms, not the domestic ones.
  • Collection runs in an overseas browser environment through each platform's normal web entry point, following the path an overseas user would take. Domestic platforms have different user paths, account systems and regional context, so they cannot share a basis with the six.
  • The 50-prompt set, the 72-hour cycle and the mention-rate denominator are all designed around overseas buyer questions. Mixing in domestic platforms would break the like-for-like basis of the report.

If you also need domestic platforms

If the brand also sells in the Chinese domestic market and you need to know how it appears on Doubao or DeepSeek, use a tool built for domestic AI platforms. 透镜GEO is one example: it monitors domestic platforms, which is a different target from Miaowa GEO, and its sampling and delivery are as described in its own public materials. We do not draw conclusions about domestic tools on their behalf, and we do not collect from domestic platforms as a side service.

Running two fronts on one basis

  1. Separate the markets: overseas buyer questions go to Miaowa GEO, domestic user questions go to a domestic tool. Do not use one prompt set to measure both.
  2. Align definitions: whichever tool you use, write down what mention, recommendation and citation mean and what the denominator is. Miaowa GEO's definitions are at /en/methodology.
  3. Align evidence requirements: ask for answer text, screenshot, sources and timestamp on every observation. The per-run evidence fields and SHA-256 hashing that Miaowa GEO stores are a reference you can put straight into a procurement spec.
  4. Report separately: never add or average overseas and domestic mention rates. The denominators, platforms and prompt sets are different.
Could you query a domestic platform from an overseas account?
No. Domestic platforms are outside the collection scope regardless of where the account comes from.
Can the prompts be in Chinese?
The prompt set is fixed and frozen at project set-up, and every observation records its language. Prompt language does not change the platform scope; the targets remain the six overseas platforms.
Will domestic platforms be added later?
We do not publish unpromised roadmap statements. The current scope is the six overseas platforms, see /en/help/platforms-covered.
